Alumina prices dropped $2/mt from a week ago to $333/mt FOB Western Australia as of last Wednesday. The price was equivalent to about 2,953 yuan/mt CIF major ports in China and 140 yuan/mt higher than the domestic spot prices. The exchange rate of USD/RMB remained above 7.1, and the ocean freight was $21.3/mt. The import window has been closed since January 18.
